Spectacular View and nice breeze makes the veranda of the guesthouse and of cours my hammock the perfect spot to hangout. Simple house and rooms but Rastaman Harry will always offer a bush tea or a fresh coconut jelly. Anything I can do for my guest to feel good at my home I love to do!

To be understanding that my house is an authentic Jamaican home, not a tourist hotel so everyone who wants to feel the real vibes will feel really comfort at may place. But real jamaican home means basic no tourist hotel conditions – my prices reflect this – and some inconveniences too like the water being turned off every Monday and Thursday evening everywhere in Porti, this is out of my control. I try to prepare for this by filling waterbottles for bathing and flushing the toilet.

Just remember…its all part of the adventure!! The view from my house is lovley but the acess path up is not paved and a little steep – jamaican style!!!!

I also prepare Real Jamaican breakfast ($4) and cook delicious ital dinner ($6) for my guests. For airport pick-up just ask me!

  1. A private room for only $15 is an amazing deal in Jamaica!

Jamiean’s place is definitely one of the cheapest accommodations on the island, and therefore the perfect place for budget travelers.

My experience at Ital Village Budget Accommodation was great, I got to relax on the veranda, met some other travelers from Japan and had a good time chatting with Jamiean. His food is the best! You have to try his delicious ital food, once you’re at his place. As Lukas said before, the way up to his accommodation is a little muddy, but hey, it’s the real Jamaica 😉 And once you’re there, he will make you feel like home. Perfect place in Port Antonio to chill, relax and have a good chat.

  2. Just go up there and relax

I had the pleasure to stay in Ital accommodation for a night and the first thing I have to mention is Jamieans food. He is a superb cook. We arrived at a quite rainy day, so the way up is a bit slippery and muddy, but man, thats Real Jamaica!

It is a nice tiny place up there and relaxing above Port Antonio is not the worst thing you can do in life. Even if there is rain, the veranda gives you the space to stay outside and be dry. We met a young family with a four year old son up there from Japan, just to say it is also a place to stay with your family, if you are up for it.
